Nadreyh Vagba is a 5-year student enrolled in the Civil Law (LL.L) and International Development (B.Sc.Soc) dual program with the Co-op option at the University of Ottawa. She will be graduating this year and will continue her studies in the national program with the Common Law Section to obtain her Juris Doctor (JD). 

 

Throughout her academic career, Nadreyh has been very involved with her faculty and beyond. She was the President of the University of Ottawa Black Law Students' Association - Civil Law Section for the term 2022-2023. She was also Vice President Internal Affairs of the University of Ottawa Technology Law Association during the same period, as well as a member of her faculty's Anti-Racism and Anti-Discrimination Committee. She also served on the faculty's mental health committee and as a peer helper for the student community. She was also the Professional Development Coordinator for the BLSA Canada Francophone Committee during the 2022-2023 period.  Beyond her academic involvement, Nadreyh excels academically and has been on the Dean's List for her entire academic career. 

 

Outside of academics, she is passionate about music and sports. In particular, she enjoys dancing, track and field, and basketball. She loves to read and has even written a novel . Also, as a hobby, she does video creation and programming.

Nadreyh Vagba est une étudiante de 5 années inscrite au double programme de droit civil (LL. L) et Développement international (B. sc.soc) avec l’option Coop de l’université d’Ottawa. Elle obtiendra ses diplômes cette année et poursuivra ses études dans le cadre du programme national auprès de la section de Common Law, afin d’obtenir son Juris Doctor (JD). 

 

Tout au long de son parcours universitaire, Nadreyh s’est énormément impliquée au sein de sa faculté et en dehors. Elle a cet effet été la présidente de l’association des étudiant(e)s noir(e)s en droit de l’université d’Ottawa – section de droit civil, pour le mandat 2022-2023. Elle était également durant la même période vice-présidente aux affaires internes de l’association du droit des technologies de l’université d’Ottawa, ainsi que membre du comité de lutte contre le racisme et la discrimination de sa faculté. Elle a siégé aussi sur le comité santé mentale de la faculté, et agi à titre de pair-aidante pour la communauté étudiante. Elle a aussi été coordonnatrice du développement professionnel pour le comité francophone de BLSA Canada durant la période 2022-2023.  Au-delà de son implication scolaire, Nadreyh excelle sur le plan académique et a d’ailleurs été sur le palmarès de la doyenne de sa faculté durant l’ensemble de son parcours universitaire. 

 

En dehors de l’implication et l’école, elle est passionnée par la musique et le sport. En particulier, elle aime la danse, l’athlétisme et le basketball. Elle adore lire et a même écrit un roman également comme passe-temps, elle fait de la création vidéo et de la programmation.
